Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going into the big
screen to play comedies such as 'Elf "Anchorman," as well as
Talladega Nights. Will Ferrell was born in Irvine in the year 1967. He started
his comedy career as member of the group based in Los Angeles, The Groundlings.
Following his acclaimed seven-year run as a performer on Saturday Night Live,
he was one of the film industry's most popular comedians through off-color
successes such as Old School (2003) and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
(2004). Ferrell was also co-founder of the streaming video site Funny or Die
and enjoyed the success of voice acting in animated films like Megamind (2010).
John William Ferrell was conceived in Irvine, California on July 16th 1967.
Will Ferrell is the oldest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell
(and Kay Ferrell), however, he was not exactly the class clown while he was at
University High School. A quiet and solitary person, Ferrell decided to leave
his mark on the football pitch, where he set records for school records for the
number of field goals made. Ferrell displayed a lack of outrageous, funny
behavior that would make his career famous and even at the suburban house he
lived in. His mother, who was interviewed by Esquire she said Ferrell was calm
and amiable. "You're familiar with the Matchbox cars?" Will arrange
his Matchbox cars on his own, and be totally happy. It would be a simple
question "Do you want to visit Disneyland this morning?" or "You
want your cars lined up?" and he'd think about it. Ferrell was not a
perfect straight man however that doesn't mean to say he wasn't. A glimpse of
his comedic skills showed up each morning at high school, when he would
disguise his voice for the daily announcements over the PA system. Ferrell
earned his degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in
1986. He joined the Delta Tau fraternity, and completed a degree in sports
journalism.
